Viprav Raju received his bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), India. He received his M.S. degree in electrical engineering and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. His research interests include computer vision image processing, sensor networks, machine learning, and deep learning. His current area of focus is dietary assessment and image-based food intake monitoring. Outside of work, he enjoys yoga, football, chess, and hiking with his dog.
